Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai has officially taken over as the 52nd Chief Justice of India, succeeding Justice Sanjiv Khanna.

The oath ceremony was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office.
