Chander Prakash, a competitor in Season 16 of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), became the show’s first crorepati. On Wednesday, Sony Entertainment Television shared videos on Instagram featuring KBC presenter Amitabh Bachchan praising Chander. In the video, Amitabh shouted “₹1 crore” while standing in front of the crowd. Chander received applause and cheers from the crowd. Then Amitabh gave him a hug and remarked, “Gale lagjaiyyye aap humare (let’s hug)”. “Iss season ke pehle Crorepati, Chander Parkash ko hum sab ki ore se hardik shubhkaamnaye,” read the caption that accompanied the video.
